I have enjoyed sewing, especially on a machine since I was a small child. We had a treadle machine on which I would sew with old paper (we didn't have fabric - it was war time).

I have a teaching and textile background, but now concentrate on machine embroidery.  I dye and print my own fabric and threads, and use these to create my work.

The source for my textile art comes from my other hobbies, gardening and travel;  both great inspirations.
